Public Good Group helps design and implement strategies to strengthen civic knowledge and engagement (on a wide range of topics), and in turn enable democracy to be more responsive, productive, efficient and accountable.

Our approach is non-partisan because great ideas can come from many directions, and we are always on the lookout for great ideas.

Our work often involves helping people define a problem for public consideration, then design and implement plans to produce rewarding, informed engagement on the topic in ways that can produce change.

We like collaborating with people to put the “pursuit of life liberty and happiness” — an idea we’ve learned the vast majority of people believe in — within reach of a whole lot more Americans.

Clients and Partners Say…

  • “I worked closely with Zabrae for roughly a year on an intense and innovative project that included a Citizen Assembly in New Hampshire. I learned so much from her. Zabrae is a very creative thinker, knows how to connect with all kinds of people, and is responsive and supportive. She is a talented  people manager, has high standards, and communicates them in a way that inspires.”

Martha Madsen, Citizenship Education Director, NH Bar Association; former Director, NH Together

  • "Lorelei is one of the most brilliant people I've ever worked with. Her understanding of complex global security issues is both broad and deep. She gives 200% to every project we've worked on together - whether analyzing cybersecurity strategies, co-authoring a chapter, or speaking on a panel. Her understanding of government, its challenges and inner-workings is a real asset to anyone who has the privilege of working with her."

    — Sarah Granger, Co-Content Marketing Leader, STEM Storyteller, Author of The Digital Mystique

  • "Zabrae and I have worked together on multiple democracy reforms and political initiatives, community service, and economic mobility. I have been impressed with how she sees the big picture and the systems reform needed while then creatively building projects that drive action today. She's a coalition builder, always asking what other voices are needed to not just build an effective political coalition but also make the solution better and inclusive of various viewpoints. And she balances results, process, and relationships to produce sustainable results."

    – Dave Smith, CEO, California Volunteers Fund, former Managing/Executive Director at Mobilize.org, National Conference on Citizenship, and Presidio Institute

  • "Lorelei’s expertise in rebuilding Congressional capacity is unparalleled, and her efforts have been instrumental in developing modern, inclusive governance models that enhance legislative responsiveness and effectiveness. Throughout her career she has championed initiatives that integrate data-driven decision-making, participatory governance, and bipartisan collaboration—critical components in fostering durable peace and stability in any democracy."

    – Laura Blessing, PhD, Senior Fellow, The Government Affairs Institute, Georgetown University

  • "From strategic planning to project management to communication, Zabrae was my key partner in launching the PPIC Economic Policy Center, and she continues to be my go-to for advice on all things strategy and vision. She helps me see ahead more completely—and plan with wide-ranging perspectives in mind."

–Sarah Bohn, Vice President, Public Policy Institute of California, and Director of PPIC’s California’s Economic Policy Center

  • "By 2003 the U.S. Army Peacekeeping and Stability Operations Institute (PKSOI) was in danger of becoming a casualty of "Force Realignment," and closure. Lorelei stepped in and worked tirelessly to take the fight to the halls of Congress, enabling the Peacekeeping Institute to become PKSOI. I was honored to work, with Lorelei in that effort. She has great personal dedication, ethics and honor. I would highly recommend her for any position worthy of her abilities and dedication to duty, with honor, for her country."
